Road Trip to Cascade

I went to see my mom, sister and aunt Nancy who fly in from New York this past weekend!!
We had a really great time telling stories and I learned things I didn't want to know!!! Kelly and I went and played golf we had a BBQ and I got to visit with a school friend I haven't seen in years. It was so nice to see Angie!!! We went to a football game at my old High School. My niece is a cheerleader so it was fun!!! If I knew what the cheers were I would totally be up with her!!!! LOL!!

Teri's Elk Hunt Sept 12-17 2009

All I have to really say is "I'm soooo glad it's over!!!" I enjoyed my time I got to spend with Gordon and not having to go to work for 6 days.....It was the hardest thing I have done so far!!! I only shot the gun 10 times and did really well so I thought this will be a piece of cake and I'll be home by Monday so I can golf with Sharon.....ummm nope!!!!! So opening day (saturday) we get up at 4:30am yes I said 4:30 am and get all dressed in our hunting clothes and hop on the 4 wheelers and head out to get a Elk!!! I heard for the first time a Elk bugle and it really is a cool sound!!! I got all excited so we hiked and hiked and hiked and we finally see one!!! I get all ready and I have the Elk in the scope and I shot....and I shot again. I shot 6 times and missed. The Elk kept going back and forth just like he was in a shooting gallery but I was just so excited and NERVOUS I missed it!!! Oh well! So the routine was you go out in the morning at the crack ass of dawn to sit around in the cold waiting to hear a Elk bugle in the hope of seeing it to get a shot well not so much....we hike alot and didn't really see many or even hear them but we keep hiking!!! By Monday it's cold and raining and muddy and I'm pissed I can't go golfing but I suck it up and continue to do whatever!!! Shelly came down and we go out for the morning and I get a chance to shot one and everyone seen but me so I kind of have a melt down but I did get a shot and Shelly thought I hit it and it dropped and rolled down so she gets really excited and screams "you got it" nope missed again!!! Oh well!!!! I did adventually get my Elk on Tuesday night. We went in on Wednesday morning to get him out. Check out some of the pictures below. ~GiRls RuLe~

Labor Day Weekend 2009

Gordon and I spent Labor Day Weekend in our trailer at Salina Creek with super fabulous friends!! Shelly and I attempted some deer hunting with no success again but also we did some scouting for Elk and we did see some real dany ones...keep your fingers crossed that we see them the week on the 12th for my hunt!!! It was a really nice weekend with cool weather, little bit of rain and lots of YAHTZEE's!!!! I smoked them all with 4 YAHTZEE's but lost my you know what on the only game we bet on 10cent a point!! I pretty much owe like $30 but when I get 4 YAHTZEE's we don't bet money...what's up with that!!

2009 Bow Hunt

Every year for the past 9 years Shelly and I have drawn out on a Deer tag. So off to the cabin every weekend for what seems like a thousand months....!!!! JK!!! Getting up at the crack on dawn and not seeing a deer!! WTH!! It's very discouraging when you don't see any deer and when you do see the little bastards they are gone in a flash but I chalk it up as fun time spent with Shelly!!!

Running Motivation

So I'm in serious need of motivation....I can't seem to get myself in gear to workout or run past 3 miles!!! I have become so lazy....so in order to get myself back on track I'm going to be signing up for these races.

3. Provo River Run 10miles June 10, 2010
4. Riverton Town Days 10K July 4, 2010
5. Deseret Marathon/10K July 24, 2010

I hope this will encourge me to get my butt moving again. Wish me luck!!!

SLEEPY TIME FOR THE BOSS!!!

Yuba Vacation July 23-26

July 23 we headed for our yearly trip to Yuba Lake with our friends and family!! We had 7 trailers this year and we got a great spot on the beach. The weather was perfect...nice a HOT!! We ate great food and played games and just had a nice time. A BIG Thank You to Steve and Jamie for bringing there boat and tube so we all could enjoy it!! I want to say Thanks to Steve and Marc for having the patience and cheering me on to keep trying to get up on the wake board. I can't wait for next year!! I would post some pictures but I didn't take one snap shot!! I left the camera in the truck and completely forgot about it!! Who does that...!!!! Maybe someone will forward some of there pictures to me!! hehehe Well, thanks everyone for another great vacation and I'm already thinking of next year (for sure I will take pictures next time).
