~Road trip to Cascade~

So on August 4th I got in the truck and headed to Cascade to see the mom's & sister!!  Cascade really hasn't changed all that much...it's still a small town.  Every time I drive there it always is a rain Storm in the Twin Falls area...I mean down pour!! Let's not forget about the freakin road construction...seriously it was ridiculous. Utah is not the only state under road construction...driving up the canyon was a joke!!  Anyways I finally get to my mom's and man she really has done a lot of work on the house!!! It looks so good!!  I stayed the night there and the rest of the time I stayed with Kelly.  I helped Kelly with her food stand at the fair for the Rambler Cheerleaders which was fun but a lot of work!! I didn't have much time to take pictures but I did take some of the work my mom has done.
This is the view from the front porch!!

The porch used to have stairs going straight out but she closed it off in the front and opened the ends of the porch which so much better. There are stairs on both ends and the pine poles are now enclosed.

She had the pine trees trimmed up so you can actually see through them instead of them blocking the view.

New windows through the whole house which makes it so light and airy plus she drywalled most of the dark wood which made such a difference!
The kitchen is the biggest change for sure. It used to be very dark and not a lot of counter space. Now the windows are bigger and she added 2 new ones plus there used to be a old cook stove that took up so much room she had it removed and added counters and put up bead board as the back splash...it looks so good! Love it!!!
There used to be a wall between the back door & frig which was totally blocking all the light so she ripped it out and what a difference that make too!!

This used to be my old room and the windows used to be really small and it was so dark all the time. She had new bigger windows put in and drywalled the wood walls and painted it a light yellow.
